Phil Thompson is returning to Las Vegas for a special one-night concert event this Sunday at Caesars Palace to benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation as part of the Wendy's 3 Tour Challenge golf tournament. To date, this tournament has helped raise over $25 million for the foundation and continues to bring out some of golf's biggest names across all three professional tours which in the past have included Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, Jack Nicklaus, Greg Norman, Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb, Christie Kerr and Nancy Lopez.

In just a few short days Phil Thompson will be returning for the 3rd year in a row as the featured performer at the US Open Tennis Tournament in Flushing, NY - located just outside of Manhattan. From August 21 - September 9, Phil will be showcasing a series of 14 nightly concert events in the exclusive Hospitality Pavilion located within the grounds of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. Adding another credit to his growing acting resume, Phil Thompson will be appearing in today's episode of the hit CBS daytime soap opera the "Bold and the Beautiful". Phil will be playing a news reporter in a heated scene where Brooke Logan (portrayed by actress Katherin Kelly Lang) has an emotional breakdown at a company press conference after being rescued from a deserted island.

Phil will be once again joining his good friends, the Canadian Tenors (as seen on Oprah, Dr. Phil, and at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver), on stage as their opening act for their upcoming tour stop at Treasure Island Casino in Minnesota . This will be the third time Phil will be sharing the stage with the Tenors – the first was back in Las Vegas at the David Foster and Friends after party event at Mandalay Bay and earlier this year at the Anoka Performing Arts Series in Minnesota. In a little over a month Phil Thompson will be performing at this year's last major tennis championship: The 2010 US Open. Located just outside of Manhattan in Flushing, New York, the US Open is one of the world's most prestigious sporting events and is the largest of all four Grand Slam tennis tournaments featuring the biggest venue, crowds, and player prize money. This year over 700,000 eager fans are anticipated at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center as they watch some of the world's best athletes compete for over $22.6 million in prize money.
This year Phil has been selected as the featured performer in the hospitality pavilion and will be showcasing a series of 8 performances throughout the two-week tournament for various corporate sponsors, dignitaries, and previous tournament champions including four time US Open winner, John McEnroe.
